About Connected women in ai
Meet the team and learn how you can befome part of the movement
shaping the future of ai- together
Connected Women in AI (CWAI) is a movement dedicated to ensuring that women play an equal role in shaping the future of artificial intelligence. We believe that AI developed by diverse teams leads to better, more ethical, and more inclusive solutions that benefit all of humanity.
Women are significantly underrepresented in AI. In Denmark, only 21.3% of AI professionals are women, and a mere 15% hold leadership positions. This lack of diversity risks creating AI systems that reinforce biases and limit innovation. At CWAI, we are working to change this by increasing awareness, fostering opportunities, and creating a strong, supportive network for women in AI.
Awareness about AI
Many women feel disconnected from AI, believing it requires a tech-heavy background. We challenge this perception by highlighting how AI careers are accessible across various disciplines. Through events, thought leadership, and advocacy, we promote AI as a field where women can thrive and lead.
Attracting Women to AI
We provide career transition programs, mentorship, and visibility for role models to inspire and support women entering the field. Our work encourages businesses to recruit based on potential and adaptability rather than prior AI expertise.
Accelerating womens careers in ai

what we do
1.Awareness about ai
Many women feel disconnected from AI, believing it requires a tech-heavy background. We challenge this perception by highlighting how AI careers are accessible across various disciplines. AI is not just about coding—industries like healthcare, finance, education, and design all require AI expertise.
Our initiatives showcase how AI is integrated into multiple career paths, making it relevant to women from diverse educational and professional backgrounds.
Denmark needs more than just AI developers—it needs practitioners, integrators, and specialists who can apply AI across industries. By broadening the definition of AI expertise, we empower more women to see themselves as part of the future of AI.
Through events, thought leadership, and advocacy, we promote AI as a field where women can thrive and lead.
