The Expert Committees is the professional backbone of CWAI. Each one focuses on a specific area within AI and plays a vital role in guiding the community’s direction and content.
By joining one of our expert committees, you can expect to:
- Contribute to the community’s overall agenda and ensure relevance and quality in our work.
- Provide expert input to CWAI initiatives – including events, projects and content for the community platform.
- Act as ambassadors for CWAI and as Subject Matter Experts to help build a strong voice for women in AI.
Executive Committees
Each committee consists of up to 12 committee memebers and host their own gatherings/events within their focus areas.
Ai Development Committee
The AI Development Committee supports members across all technical backgrounds; from scientists transitioning into AI, to seasoned practitioners staying current with emerging technologies, to non-technical professionals exploring how to break into the field.
Our initiatives range from technical deep-dives and hands-on skill-building to AI awareness sessions and informal networking meetups.
We are committed to advancing and retaining women in AI by fostering authentic leadership, professional growth, and community connection.
Ai Ethics & Governance Committee
The AI Ethics & Governance Committee offers guidance on responsible AI development and contributes actively to the broader conversation around ethical governance.
It champions inclusive, transparent, and principled use of AI by engaging with policymakers, educators, managers, and industry leaders to bridge perspectives and promote responsible innovation.
Through public engagement, education, and webinars, the Committee helps professionals deepen their understanding of ethical AI and access reliable, up-to-date resources.
Ai Business & Strategy Committee
The AI Business & Strategy Committee supports and connects AI strategists, senior leaders — from team leads to the C-suite and board — as well as emerging leadership talent.
It provides a space where women can exchange experiences, build trusted relationships, and strengthen their expertise in AI adoption, leadership in the AI era, governance, and change management.
Our mission is to equip women with practical insights, valuable connections, and the momentum to lead their teams and organisations through value-driven AI innovation.
Young Talents Committee
The Young Talents Committee in Connected Women in AI works to inspire and support young women to explore and develop within AI.
We focus on events, networking, and learning activities tailored to women in during their studies and in their first years on the job market.
Our goal is to create an inclusive community where more women gain the confidence and opportunity to choose a career in AI
