Back to the Future: Women Shaping AI Startups and Investments
As Europe’s startup scene catches up with AI innovations—with funding in AI-related startups reaching $10.3B in 2024—one glaring gap remains: women are still massively underrepresented in both founding and funding roles.
According to Atomico’s State of European Tech 2024 report, only 1.4% of European venture capital went to women-only founding teams. Less than 15% of decision-makers in European VC firms are women, yet, diverse founding teams outperform non-diverse teams by 25% in ROI, McKinsey data shows. AI startups led by women are more likely to prioritize ethical frameworks and inclusive design, according to a 2023 AI Now Institute study.
Connected Women in AI (CWAI) invites you to a special and the last edition webinar that explores – What it takes to build and fund AI startups through gender lenses, why now is a defining moment for women angels and VC leaders, and how do we create inclusive investor-founder ecosystems in deep tech and AI.
Whether you’re an aspiring angel investor, a startup founder, a corporate innovator, or simply AI-curious, this event will offer insights, connections, and a different outlook into the challenges and opportunities for women driving change in tech.
